Casual Event Staff

We have a range of events in Christchurch throughout the year and we require a great team of staff to assist in the running of these events. We are looking for general Bar Staff, Front of House, Ticketing, and Waste Management Crew for events in Christchurch You will be working under our Management team in one of the roles, while getting to listen to some of the biggest names in music coming to New Zealand.

Tasks involved:

Bar Work: ● Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for customers ● Opening cans and pouring drinks into cups ● Stocking the containers with beverages and ice ● Interact with customers and take their orders using hand held eftpos machines ● Restock and replenish the bar stock from the chiller containers/trucks ● Comply with all beverage regulations ● Picking up rubbish behind and around the bar throughout and at the end of the night ● Filling up water containers, for the water stations at the bar

Front of House Work: ● Following the instructions of the food supervisor ● Assisting the chefs with carrying the food out ● Clearing away the customers dishes, cutlery, glasses etc ● Picking up rubbish throughout the event ● Scraping all the scraps off the plates and placing in a pile for the dishes ● You may be required to wash the dishes, depending on the event ● Serving customers if required ● Continuously walking around being vigilant

Ticketing Work: ● Greeting the customers who arrive to the entrance gate ● Scanning the barcode on their ticket and making sure it is valid ● Ensuring all customers are wrist banded so the security know they are allowed in the event ● Communicating with the supervisor ensuring everything runs smoothly

Waste Management Work: ● Working with a group making sure the grounds are nice and tidy ● Clearing the bins and replacing with new bags to ensure the bins aren't overflowing ● Covering all the grounds throughout the event picking up any waste that you discover. ● Ensuring at the end of the event that you clear up all the waste around the stage, bar, toilets, entrance etc. Previous experience is great however, not essential. Common sense, great communication, customer service and work ethic will serve you well.

- Convictions considered case by case - Be able to pass pre employment drug testing - Must be able to be around alcohol and hold the serverwise certificate if applying for Bar Work - Some hospo experience is preferred but not a requirement - Able to speak good English / clear communication - Must have a good attitude - Must be good with maths
