Home Care Support Worker

We are a local Support agency who provides care and support to people in need. Our clients live with a wide range of challenges through to achieving amazing accomplishments. Sometimes they need supports because they are unwell, recovering from an injury or just needing a bit more help. Sometimes they need a companion or their person to help them live their life and achieve their goals.

We try to match clients and staff for a great positive relationship. We can offer a variety of contract types including casual/flexible and guaranteed or permanent hours. As part of our team we offer a supportive working environment and ongoing training and career progression. Pay dependant on experience and qualifications.

Essential skills required: • Have some weekend availability • Are experienced in (or willing to be trained) • You must have your own vehicle and a Full drivers license • Have a passion for helping people We have a variety of hour ranging from 1 hours to part day or full day work, starting at casual/flexible, the moving towards guaranteed or permanent hours. Have your own car and full driver licence. -Able to pass a police check. -Health and wellbeing experience preferred but not essential, full training with NZQA qualifications available up to level 4 To join our team you need to be: • A great communicator and able to use a variety of communication strategies (eg: social media, texting, non-verbal communication aids) • Able to commit to a client(s) for an extended period of time • Willing to continually up skill your knowledge by attending information and training opportunities • Able to work within a framework that celebrates the strengths of the client and proactively supports them to live their good life • Good with written skills as fortnightly progress reporting is required.
