Rest Home Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant

A Rest Home/Private Hospital in Belmont is looking for a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will: - Vacuum carpeted and other relevant flooring areas - Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-presented - Soak, sluice, and wash clothes and linens as per the Infection Control manual - Help to ensure that residents clothes are labelled correctly and returned to the correct rooms - Clean and mop the staff, visitors, and patients’ toilets - Clean showers, toilets and bathrooms as per the Infection Control manual - Disinfect and wipe surfaces as needed - Ensure residents’ rooms are cleaned properly and clutter-free - Clean communal appliances e.g., fridges, microwaves as required - Monitor and empty rubbish bins, and replace bin liners as needed - Adhere to the cleaning and maintenance schedule

To be considered for this role, you will: - Have at least 1-year experience in a cleaning role obtained recently - Have knowledge in using cleaning equipment and cleaning products - Have excellent attention to detail and be able to work unsupervised - Be friendly, polite, and comfortable working around elderly residents - Be well-presented and physically fit You must also be able to pass a Drug test and a Ministry of Justice check.
