Employer is seeking a couple of Experienced Steel Fixers to join their team.

Key responsibilities may include: • Deciphering blueprints and technical drawings to understand the required steel layout and specifications. • The use hand and power tools to accurately cut and bend steel bars and mesh to specified dimensions and shapes. • Tie reinforcing bars and mesh together with wire, clips, or welds to build up sections and secure steel to concrete bases. • Construct cages and other steel structures used in reinforced concrete, often working with pre-cast slabs and beams. • Collaborate closely with other construction workers, including steel erectors, engineering designers, and concrete finishers. • Responsible for ensuring that the steel work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations. • Identify and solve problems that arise during the steel fixing process, such as misaligned bars or difficulty with concrete pouring.

Job Requirements

To be successful for this role you must: • Have previous Steel Fixing experience (preferably Bridge Steel Fixing) • Minimum of a restricted Licence • Confident to drive a manual if required • Must pass pre-employment police and drug test • Minor convictions are on a case by case basis

Days of work
Monday-Friday, 40+ hrs occasional weekend (40 hours per week)

$25 - $29 dependent on experience
