Bluff based employer looking to hire Seafood Process Workers. As a Seafood Process Worker you will undertake seafood export processing activities in accordance with the plant's standard operating procedures, quality specifications, and compliance standards.

Key Accountabilities: - Handling Product: Oversee, uplift, transfer, and deliver products; maintain product integrity; handle live lobster and other aquatic species with care. - Compliance: Ensure day-to-day compliance with quality, fisheries legislation, and health and safety standards. - Cultural Confidence: Participate in cultural activities to deepen knowledge and skills in Ngai Tahutanga and te reo Maori. - Health & Safety: Comply with health and safety policies; report accidents and incidents; identify hazards and develop controls. - Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as required by the employer. - Knowledge of Ministry of Primary Industries and Health and Safety regulations is advantageous. - Ability to understand and follow instructions. - Attention to detail and initiative, reliable and consistent work ethic. - Proven ability to work as part of a team. - Sound literacy and numeracy skills. - Capable of manually handling equipment or product up to 20kg. - Experience handling live Crayfish and seafood processing systems is advantageous. - Heavy Trade and/or Forklift driver's licence is an advantage. - Candidates with knowledge in Food Safety and Health and Safety at Work (HSW) are preferred.

Job Requirements

All applicants will have: • Factory and/or processing experience preferred but full training and support will be provided. • Must be able to work some weekends. • Reliable transport to and from the Bluff Plant (or are local and can get to site each day). • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as required.

Days of work
As required - includes some weekend work also. Rostered shifts ranging roughly between 7am - 6pm (25 hours per week)
