Waiter/Barista

Our employer is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join their team. This position involves working across both Front of House and Kitchen areas, as scheduled in the weekly team roster. Key responsibilities: Deliver food from the kitchen and beverages from the cold drinks or barista stations to customers, following our established 'order of service' Prepare and serve cold beverages Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions Prepare and serve coffee and other drinks as a barista Perform waiter/waitress duties, including taking orders and attending to customers Carry out Maitre D duties, including greeting and seating guests Assist with general kitchen hand tasks Support overall Front of House operations

Applicants will need to have the following skills and attributes:

At least 12 months barista experience. A passion for all things food and beverage related. Experience providing table and counter service in a cafe / restaurant setting. The ability to flourish in a fast paced work environment. With seating for over 120 patrons, we can be very busy through peak service periods. You'll need to be able to think on your feet and ensure our customer's expectations are exceeded when the pressure is on. A warm and friendly demeanor along with a great sense of humour. To be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate effectively and build rapport and respect with your co-workers and customers. It's an absolute must that you're reliable, punctual and efficient at all times. *As this is a 7-day a week hospitality business, weekend work will be required.
