Milking - Milking Once a day, cleaning milking shed, plant & vat and monitoring milk quality Animals - Assist in handling of cows, observe and report any health & welfare issues as per farm policy. Assist with moving stock safely and observe & report on wellbeing of all classes of stock. Feed - Put up and take down break fences & feed out as directed. Help with weed control, gain an understanding about feed allocations and health issues associated with different feed types. Environment - Understand how dairy effluent systems operate and how effluent affects the on-farm environment. Be aware of regional council requirements and their responsibilities to comply with these. People - Adhere to the farm H, S & W policy. Identify hazards, understands safety procedures, and demonstrates safe on-farm work practices. be able to work well in a team and be a good team player. Machine - Operate in a safe and respectful manor. Conduct routine maintenance checks as per on farm policy

Job Requirements

Must live on farm in shared accommodation which is a 4 bedroom house. No pets Primary ITO or equivalent Intermediate 2-4 years experience Full licence

Days of work
8 on 2 off. 80-90 hours per fortnight. Changeable but roughly 5am start 5pm finish with 2-3 hr break per day. (45 hours per week)
