Position Purpose The Support Worker will deliver disability support across various life domains, in line with Community Living values. Responsibilities include: • Providing a safe and satisfying home life. • Promoting independence, self-determination, and community integration. • Following individual Care and Support Plans, as well as advocating for the rights of people with disabilities. • Complying with New Zealand legislation and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities • Provide day-to-day support and positive guidance to individuals in the RIDSAS programme. • Assist individuals in daily living activities and community engagement. • Support the development of life skills and personal growth. • Foster safe, respectful, and empowering environments. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver consistent, goal-based support. • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to support plans and procedures.

Job Requirements
• Physically fit and strong in character, with a confident and supportive presence. • Full, clean driver’s licence is essential. • Previous experience in disability support or a similar role is preferred; however, a motivated, positive attitude is most important as full training will be provided. • Must be able to pass Ministry of Justice (MOJ) vetting and a drug/alcohol screening test. • Willingness to undertake ongoing learning and professional development.
