Duty Manager

Otatara based liquor store are after a Duty Manager with good work ethics and experience to assist the manager in the operations of the store in a fulltime role. The successful candidate will have their LCQ and ideally their Duty Managers Certificate or have the ability to obtain a Duty Managers Certificate.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: - Ensuring that customers are served satisfactorily up to a good standard. - Ensure that the store complies with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act (2012) and the terms of the license. - Operate cash registers, scanners and point-of-sale (Pos) systems/terminals. - Help drive and improve client awareness of the most recent deals and promotions in accordance with liquor regulations. - Record, inform and provide recommendations to the company director/manager achieving the business KPIs and make sure that the implementation of the plans should be supported for the growth of the business. - Ensure till is attended at all times and all safety measures are strictly adhered to. - Responding to customers inquiries and complaints about goods and services. - Planning and preparing work schedules and assigning staff to specific duties. - Instructing staff on handling of difficult sales procedures. - Make sure that the appropriate action is taken on the returned goods. - Making sure that the products are correctly priced and displayed according to the categories.

Job Requirements
You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: - Hold NZ citizenship, NZ Permanent Residency, or a Valid NZ Work Permit. - Hold a LCQ and ideally a Duty Managers Certificate or able to obtain a Duty Managers Certificate. - Must have tertiary qualification or minimum 1 years of relevant work experience. - Must be able to pass a Police Check and Pre-employment Drug Test, as part of the employment process. - Must be available to work in the weekends and public holidays. - Must have reliable transport.
