Waiter
About this job
Prepare tables, ensuring they are clean and fully set. Greet customers, allocate tables and hand out menus. Take meal and beverage orders from customers and accurately place them with the kitchen, maintain knowledge of the complete menu and characteristics of the dishes/drinks, make menu recommendations and update customers on seasonal variations and specials. Take part and contribute to team tastings to familiarise yourself with dishes (allergies, intolerances and religious food preferences will be accommodated) otherwise please be prepared to taste a wide range of food and flavors. Check customers are satisfied with meals and drinks, handle low level customer feedback, requests or complaints. Cash up bills and ensure the correct amount has been paid answer phone calls, enquiries and take reservations when the manager is not available
Job Requirements
Able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays (some of hospitality's busiest times are over holiday periods and the whole team comes together to ensure these are fully staffed)
