About this job
As a Court Registry Officer you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders including defendants witnesses family members Oranga Tamariki Lawyers and Police Officers. You will be able to communicate confidently with Judges within the courtroom and their chambers as well as other members of the judiciary.
Your primary responsibilities include, The management of court files and court taking. You will help facilitate the smooth operation of the Court including introducing Judges in English and Te Reo Maori working closely with them in the Courtroom and Chambers managing jurors and general administration of the Court customer service. All courts have an onsite customer service area or hub that customers can access for any court related matter. Case management This involves ensuring files are accurate and up to date. This part of the role involves a large component of data entry.
Job Requirements
You will be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills quality decision-making, be solutions focused and have the personal confidence and resilience to adapt to a dynamic work environment. To be successful you will need to be Detail orientated and observant the court has many different processes and case information needs to be accurate. Self-aware our participants are unique and you will be confident working individually and as a team across various situations. Able to multi-task some of our processes are repetitive so you will be able to manage conflicting priorities and move from one task to another quickly. Willing to learn legislation and court processes are always changing and you can adapt and maintain knowledge capital. Resilient As a Court Registry Officer you might work on sensitive cases sometimes at high volume. - Days of work
- Monday - Friday 8.30am-5.00pm Court registrars are required to work Saturdays (this is overtime and on a rostered basis). (37 hours per week)
