Stores Assistant

Receive inwards goods Make purchase order corrections, as required, based on inwards goods Invoice matching Follow-up on receiving issues Manage inventory Monitor stock levels Create purchase orders and reorder stock Complete rolling stock counting Setup job shelves Sign out & allocate stock components onto job shelves Sign out & allocate stock components onto job/SRO’s as required Arrange shipping/freight of components Order waste bin pickups Order cardboard pickups Order welding gases Fuel for forklift Pickup/drop offs Stores house keeping

The stores assistant role is setup as a support role for our Stores Manager. The stores assistant will primarily be responsible for maintaining inventory levels within the store, controlling the booking out of stocked components to ensure inventory levels are correctly maintained, and ordering replacement stock as required.

The production and service teams are to be considered customers to the supply team. As such the aim here is to provide quick and efficient supply of parts for these functions of the business while still ensuring that inventory levels and availability of inventory are maintained.

A minimum of 1 years relevant experience as a store assistant or similar is preferred, however for the right candidate we are willing to train Strong computer competency Have full drivers license Excellent decision-making skill Strong multi-tasking ability Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative and with low level supervision A current OSH license would be considered advantageous Any knowledge of engineering would be considered advantageous however this is NOT a engineering role
