A PN based care agency are seeking a dedicated and caring Support People to join their team to support clients in Feilding. The ideal candidate will provide a range of supportive services including accompanying clients to appointments, assisting with housework, basic cooking, laundry, and occasional personal care. This role requires a patient, empathetic nature and a commitment to making a positive impact in our clients' lives. Key Responsibilities: • Accompany Clients: Provide transportation and support to clients for medical appointments, social activities, and other necessary errands. • Housework: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, tidying, and organizing to maintain a comfortable and safe living environment. • Cooking: Prepare simple, nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and client preferences. • Laundry: Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens. • Personal Care: Assist with personal care activities as needed, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while respecting the client’s dignity and privacy.
Job Requirements
Must hold Full Drivers Licence and have own vehicle.
Also applicants must not have criminal convictions and be able to pass a Ministry of Justice Check.
Also applicants must be able to work every second weekend as Weekends are rostered.
Personal Attributes: • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients. • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • A genuine desire to help others and make a difference in their lives. Hold a minimum of Level 3 caring certificate or equivalent
