Delivery Driver
About this job
• On time, pick up the products (Waikato Times, NZ Herald, Bay Times, Listener, Woman’s Weekly, and other publications) for delivery at designated drop-off points. • Accurately count and verify the number of papers, publications, and bundles for delivery, based on packing slips and delivery documentation. • Be responsible for loading the products at the designated pick-up point, unloading the product at each drop-off point, and ensuring each load complies with the documentation issued in relation to the product. • Before departing the drop-off point, reconcile supplies delivered with the associated documentation and immediately report any shortages, over-supply of copies or delays to the Manager or nominated representative as soon as possible. • Complete delivery round/s without delay or interruption and within the required times. Notify immediately of the late time. • The Employee must be available by phone until 9 a.m. to resolve any redeliveries or other issues.
Job Requirements
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. • Own reliable vehicle is essential – a fuel allowance will be provided. • Previous delivery experience preferred but not essential. • Must be available to work night shifts. • Must be physically fit, as the role involves frequent lifting, loading, and unloading. • Good time management skills and ability to meet early morning deadlines. • Should have an eagerness to learn and grow • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions. • Must be punctual, dependable, and able to handle early start times. • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
