The role of the Sprinkler Fitter's Mate is to assist the Sprinkler Fitter in the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire sprinkler protection systems and ancillary components. This role is critical to ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities: - Follow all reasonable instructions from the Sprinkler Fitter. - Confirm understanding of tasks and seek clarification if needed. - Arrive on-site 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. - Set up tools and machinery for daily tasks. - Ensure all equipment is tagged, tested, and compliant with HSE standards. - Cut, thread, groove, and attach fittings to pipework. - Prepare fixings, clips, brackets, and hangers for installation. - Maintain a clean and organized job site. - Clean tools and machinery weekly, ensuring equipment is in good working order. - Organize the container for easy access to stock and materials. - Prepare refreshments, such as setting the electric jug on before breaks. - Return all tools and materials to their designated areas at the end of the day. - Document tasks, instructions, and dimensions in the provided notebook - Actively engage in upskilling and training opportunities to enhance expertise. - Wear all required PPE as outlined in the site induction. - Ensure material wastage is kept at or below 5%, including consumables. - Conduct a daily stock take of materials. - Perform a comprehensive weekly stock take every Friday, submitting findings along with delivery dockets and timesheets to OFP management. - Notify the fitter when materials are low to prevent delays and ensure proactive stock management. - Return all tools, materials, and equipment to their designated areas after use. - Ensure no items are left lying around the site. - Store and maintain all materials properly on-site.

Job Requirements

-Must pass a drug test -Minor convictions case by case -Minimum restricted license -Knowledge of using tools -Must have experience Intermediate (2 - 4 years) -Must be reliable -Follow instructions well -Physically fit and motivated
