Forklift Operator

Local Invercargill sawmill are on the hunt for motivated and hardworking staff .

As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. These are hands-on, full-time dayshift roles for candidates who are ready to contribute to a high-performing team and grow within a progressive business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load racks and trucks. - Manually handle and organise timber and building products. - Maintain stock levels and meet quality assurance standards. - Use basic computer systems to process dockets and record data. - Keep work areas tidy, safe, and well-organised. - Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and team efficiency.

We Are After Someone Who:

- Holds a current F Endorsement (must be presented at interview). - Is physically fit and comfortable with manual handling. - Has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for doing things right. - Takes pride in their work and is motivated to contribute to team success. - Wants to grow, develop new skills, and improve systems where possible.

- Forklift licence - Must have Full Driver’s license and own transport as located in Kennington. - Must be fit and have a recent CV with contactable references and MUST be able to pass a medical/drug test! Convictions on a case by case basis. - A consistent work history and great references - Mechanical aptitude - The ability to work independently and within a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - The physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects - this is a physical role!
