We are looking female Support Workers for specific needs around Dargaville to support people to remain active, safe, and independent in their own homes and communities.

What does a Support Worker do? Our support workers are caring people with a commitment to providing the best possible support to our clients. Each client will have individual care requirements and you will support them with all elements of daily living such as personal care, food preparation, mobility or bowel/urinary continence care and ensure medication needs are met. You may also help our clients to participate in the community, undertake shopping for them or help them to take part in their hobbies.

Sleepovers are paid at minimum wage. Mileage is also subsidised.

Job Requirements

• Experience supporting people with disabilities or health needs is advantageous, but not necessary • Have a drivers licence – restricted or full • Own vehicle to utilise for the role • Have a mobile phone with data (minimal data required and they get paid for some usage) • Be keen to do all facets of the role including home management/personal cares • Be transparent with any convictions etc. Police vetting is completed • Be fit and able to complete the tasks (no back or shoulder injuries) • Willing to work flexible hours e.g., early, evenings, weekends • No qualifications are necessary and in fact we often prefer to train people ourselves, however for some clients we will recruit for Level 3 or 4 Support Workers too

Must be able to work at least one weekend day consistently - 7:am start Various shifts Monday – Sunday No overnight work required Flexible hours, 10 – 30 hrs per week
