Silviculture Forestry worker - Chainsaw Operator

An Otautau employer is looking for a Silviculture Forestry worker - Chainsaw Operator to join their crew full-time.
This full time permanent position involves the following chainsaw work: trimming and clearing forestry roads, maintaining forestry tracks, and line cutting. You may also be required to assist with firefighting, controlled burning and fire suppression if necessary.
Key responsibilities: - To remove trees and trim vegetation form forestry roads to keep roads clear for vehicle access - To maintain tracks by trimming trees and to line cut within commercial forests. - Must be available for fire suppression, controlled burning, and firefighting if required.

Job Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in forestry with chainsaw experience. Must be honest, reliable, able to work well within a team, take instruction, and demonstrate pride in your work. Be physically fit, self motivated, positive, reliable and have a strong work ethic. Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing; ongoing testing also required. References from previous work will be required.
