Forestry Labourer

DANNEVIRKE: Apprenticeship role for those who are willing to earn while you learn. This role involves operating and maintaining forestry equipment and machinery, as well as working on farmland in pine blocks. The job includes selecting suitable pine trees, removing branches, and pruning trees both from the ground and at height using ladders or steps. Additional duties include assisting equipment and chainsaw operators, preparing work sites by removing obstacles or hazards, loading and unloading forestry materials or equipment, and following instructions from supervisors. Applicants will need to hold a minimum of a Restricted Driver Licence and able to pass pre-employment Drug test and Police checks.
Job Requirements
Candidates must be capable of working under pressure, demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, and show excellent attention to detail. A high level of initiative and tenacity is essential as is a positive attitude toward change and problem-solving. A clean driving licence is required along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a variety of weather conditions. Commit to study NZQA level 3.
