Maintenance Coordinator

OTAGO/Balclutha: Our Employer in Balclutha requires a Maintenance Coordinator to become part of our great team.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator, with a passion for working in the general maintenance environment, to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents.

Duties include but are not limited to: • Preventative maintenance measures. • Building repairs. • Maintaining the building exterior at the Care Home. • Working with the Care Home Manager to ensure a high level of resident safety. • You will also help with maintaining and mowing grassed areas, edging treatment, and weed control.

Days and hours: • Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm • 32 hours per week.

Pay Rate:

$27.09 to $32.51 per hour. Pay is dependant on your experience.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • 2 Years experience in this field, with general maintenance, painting, plumbing, and minor carpentry. • A clean Full Class 1 Drivers Licence. • You must be able to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test, as part of the employment process. • Ability to work as part of a team and independently. • Ability to build good rapport with others and show empathy. • Good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. • A genuine love for helping people, with excellent customer service skills, and a friendly and positive attitude. • Experience delivering to a quality standard. • You must be willing to work and turn up when required. • Hold New Zealand citizenship or have New Zealand Permanent Residency.
