We are a standout in the New Zealand speciality coffee space, roasting and delivering coffee to wonderful Kiwis across the land.
We are seeking a new full time team member to join us as the Operations and Dispatch Technician. This a unique opportunity to work amongst a team of coffee loving experts at our Gourmet Coffee roastery.
This position is crucial in ensuring more people are enjoying beautiful coffee. You will be the link between the roastery, the account manager and our retail and wholesale clients. Achieved via online sales, spreadsheets, phone calls, emails and being in the field, this environment requires someone who is organised and savvy.
Amazing customer service and reliability are key, as our customers rely on us to ensure their caffeine fix always arrives on time.
THE ROLE: • Review, pack & process both wholesale B2B and online B2C orders. • Pick, Pack and Weigh coffee and equipment orders accurately and efficiently. • Assist in production on roasting equipment loading green coffee, or blending roasted coffee. • Operate packing line, bulk coffee grinder and weighing equipment for retail production. • Overseeing roastery stock and ordering supplies. • Jump in the van to deliver coffee to local wholesale customers. • Greet customers who visit the roastery to collect orders. • Handle inwards goods of green coffee & equipment. • Answer the phone in a professional and knowledgeable manner. • Drink free coffee all-day and take home 200g of beans a week • Cover Barista shifts if required.
Job Requirements
YOU WILL BRING
• At least two years’ experience in the coffee industry or strong coffee-nerd credentials (barista's, cafe staff & home brewers included) • Have a passion for coffee and enjoy talking to people • Demonstrated ability to work in a team or as an individual. • Excellent customer service skills. • Proficient computer/technology skills. • Ability to implement and follow company policy and values. • Full NZ Driver’s License (required). • Be physically fit (Could lift 10k – 20kg) • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
