Apprentice Builder – Residential Housing

A Te Rapa well-established residential construction company is currently seeking a keen and motivated Apprentice Builder to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the building industry and gain hands-on experience across all aspects of residential construction—from foundations through to finishing.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist qualified builders with day-to-day tasks on-site • Learn various stages of residential construction under expert guidance • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite • Follow instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed • Be open to feedback and actively work on skill development

Ideal Candidate Will Have: • A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic • Reliability, honesty, and punctuality • A willingness to learn and take initiative on the job • Physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor environments • A genuine interest in the residential building trade • A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred) • Completion of a pre-trade course is advantageous but not essential • Any prior convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
