Class 5 Truck Driver

A transportation company is currently looking for a Class 5 Truck Driver with a minimum of 2 years experience and who is willing to travel nationwide . Line haul driving positions across NZ including overnight stays based on driving hours.

Duties will include; • Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods and materials to various destinations • Loading and unloading the truck when required • Load inspection and estimating weight prior to driving • Ensuring compliance with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight • Ensuring goods are stored safely and are secure • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and all relevant paperwork of daily activities • Maintain radio contact to receive and transmit instructions • Provide excellent customer service, building positive relationships with clients • Cleaning and maintaining the truck • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and report any maintenance or safety issues • Maintain the log book • Comply with all traffic regulations and maintain clean driving record • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times • Performs all duties assigned by management in a timely manner • Report Incidents accurately and timely

• Clean class 5 driving licence • Must have DG and F License • Must have two years of relevant work experience • Must have school education or higher • Physical ability to load and unload truck as necessary • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently • A strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices • Flexibility to work variable hours including public holidays as you will be required to work 24x7 based on work assignments
