Heavy Truck Driver - Tipper

Employer based in Takanini are searching for 2x full time Class 4/5 Truck Drivers to join their busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a Dump Truck with a 18 gear manual road ranger gearbox. As the face of the company, you will provide exceptional, reliable service to clients, with a great attitude.

Key responsibilities: -Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods to various destinations. -Loading and unloading the truck. Load inspection and estimating weight prior to driving. -Plan routes to meet delivery schedule. Ensuring compliance with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight. -Ensuring goods are stored safely and are secure. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and all relevant paperwork of daily activities. -Maintain radio contact to receive and transmit instructions. -Provide excellent customer service, building positive relationships with clients. -Cleaning and maintaining the truck. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and report any maintenance or safety issues. -Maintain the log book. Comply with all traffic regulations and maintain clean driving record. -Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times. -Performs all duties assigned by management in a timely manner. Report Incidents accurately and timely. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently. A strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices.

Must know 18 speed manual road ranger gearbox. Tipper truck experience required. Yard is located in Takanini and main work site is at the Auckland Airport.

Must have a clean class 4 or 5 driver licence or international equivalent. Must have at least one year of relevant work experience. Must know 18 speed manual road ranger gearbox. Physical ability to load and unload truck as necessary. Flexibility to work variable hours including public holidays based on work assignments.
