Dry Mill Timber Processor

Day shift role as a Dry Mill Timber Processor with local sawmill. Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm with available overtime. Working overtime is a requirement of this role, and is typically worked Monday to Thursday until 4:00pm.
In this role you will gain comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience across timber processing operations. This dynamic role involves operating grading machines, wrapping and labelling packets, treating timber and assisting with various tasks across our busy dry mill processing department.
You must be honest and reliable, have a good work ethic, must be able to work well within a team environment, motivated and enthusiastic to learn, physically fit, share our strong focus on Health and Safety and have some mechanical aptitude.
Applicants with a consistent work history and explainable gaps in employment likely to be preferred candidates.
Experience operating a forklift is a plus but not required; training, licensing and forklift driving may be offered for the right candidate.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • Must be physically fit. • Must have contactable references • Must have minimum restricted license and own transport as located in Kennington • Hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency. • MUST be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test. • You must be able to pass a police check, as part of the employment process. • Forklift licence a bonus!
