Concrete Truck Driver

Your duties will include but not limited to: • Safely operate a Concrete truck to deliver concrete mix to designated job sites • Drives truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer. • Drives truck to location for unloading. • Ensure accurate mixing and pouring of concrete as per client specifications • Ensuring the health and safety regulations are met • Completing the required paperwork • Performing pre and post trip safety check on equipment and truck to ensure safe travel • Clean the truck to prevent the concrete from hardening on the mixer and truck • Notify of any major maintenance issues encountered • Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete as needed • Follow correct safety procedures • Comply with all traffic laws at all times

Opportunity is based in Hamilton • Clean & Current Class 4 NZ Driver Licence • 6-12 months of Truck Driving Experience • Flexible Work Availability as there will be early morning start and you may be required to work during weekends, public holidays • Must have reversing skills as well as complete understanding of road ranger gearbox • Have a working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety requirements • Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks when required. • Willingness to follow standard operating procedures • Work in conditions that may be stressful, including harsh weather • Mechanically minded would be an advantage • Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong results-focused work ethic • Time management skills and ability to work unsupervised • Committed and reliable • Pass the drug and alcohol tests • No criminal records
