Beach Haven based grocery store seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join as a Full-time Shop Assistant.
Job Responsibilities • Opening & closing of shop • Cashing up tills at the end of shifts • Serving customers and responding to customer queries. • Checking & processing of all inwards goods within 24 hours & pass for merchandising. • Organise displays of products • Relieve the Store Manager as needed • Assist in stock take and ensure stock rotation • Ensure timely process of all returns • Ensure all promotion products are in store and in time • Assist in setting up of store specials and promotions, marketing, and advertising material • Implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers • Assist in ordering of stock • Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs & staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials. • Assist in general business planning & attending management team meetings. • Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimise consumption of new materials and minimise waste • Always maintain health & safety and food safety standards.
