We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Regional Contracts Assistant to join our Wellington team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administrative, procurement, and contracting experience to contribute to the successful delivery of services in a dynamic environment. As part of the team, you will assist in managing provider relationships, supporting procurement processes, and ensuring the effective delivery of contracted services.

Key Responsibilities: • Support procurement planning and implementation to acquire new services. • Manage the tender evaluation process, ensuring the procurement process runs smoothly. • Draft and finalise contracts, ensuring compliance and accuracy in business systems. • Monitor and report on provider performance, ensuring contract outcomes are achieved. • Build and maintain relationships with service providers and key stakeholders to drive service excellence. • Provide advice and support to internal teams, ensuring smooth contract management and service delivery. • Assist in managing provider payments and financial forecasting in line with contract specifications. • Utilise data to analyse and report on program performance, offering insights to inform decision-making.

About You: You are an experienced administrator with strong organisational and time management skills. With a keen eye for detail, you thrive in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments. You have a high level of computer literacy, particularly in Excel—including advanced functions such as pivot tables and formulas—as well as proficiency in Word and other office software. Your background includes experience in contracting or project administration, where you’ve managed databases, created reports, and analysed data. You are confident in handling financial processes such as contract forecasting, tracking expenditure, processing invoices, and ensuring payment accuracy. You’re also comfortable working with confidential information and can navigate sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism. While previous experience in contracting systems or financial administration is highly desirable, it is not essential, as training will be provided.
