Retail Assistant

Seeking a retail assistant with a passion for organic and sustainable food to join a small friendly team at a local organic food shop. A genuine interest in organic food and sustainable living is highly valued as you will be serving a community of people who appreciate the organic lifestyle. This is a varied role where you will Greeting customers and providing assistance, offering a warm welcome and helping customers find what they need. Answering questions and providing product knowledge, assisting customers with inquiries about products, ingredients. Assisting with purchases, processing transactions, handling cash and card payments, and wrapping purchases. Handling customer concerns, addressing any issues or concerns in a professional and helpful manner. Stocking shelves and displays, ensuring products are neatly arranged and readily accessible to customers. Ensuring product freshness and quality, checking expiration dates and rotating stock to prevent spoilage. Pricing and labelling products, ensuring accurate pricing and displaying product information clearly. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, keeping the store tidy and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers. Assisting with other tasks as needed, helping with tasks such as receiving deliveries, preparing food samples, or setting up displays.
