Process Workers, Slaughter Floor

Our employer in Moerewa is gearing up for a busy season and are putting together motivated teams at their modern processing facility in Moerewa, Northland to help get NZ sheep & beef from our backyard to customers plates. No prior experience necessary as training is provided, you simply need to be keen for some hands-on work as part of a motivated crew! Highly regarded, the role of slaughterer requires you to work with expert precision while still being able to keep with the pace set by the team and equipment. Opportunity available for higher learning and Level 4 qualifications for those wanting to upskill. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including: Removing viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses. Hygienically dressing carcasses in preparation for primal cuts or further processing and packaging. Operating slaughterfloor equipment, such as cutters and flays. Trimming and removing head meat and severing animal heads. Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, mesh safety equipment) as provided by the employer.

At least 6 months experience using knives or working with meat products. Drug free Reliable and able to turn up to work on time! every time!
