As a Civil Foreman, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day site operations and leading a crew to successfully deliver a range of civil construction projects. You’ll be responsible for managing resources, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Team Leadership: You’ll lead and manage a crew, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standards while providing mentorship and training to apprentices and junior staff.

Project Delivery: You’ll work closely with the Site Manager to oversee all aspects of project execution, from resource allocation and job progress to ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

Health & Safety Management: You’ll ensure all onsite health and safety protocols are followed, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring all required documentation is up to date.

Quality Control: You’ll oversee the quality of work, including reviewing plans and drawings, conducting QA tests, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Communication: You’ll act as a key point of contact between site teams and management, providing updates on job progress and any challenges that arise.

Job Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need: At least 3 years’ experience in a Foreman or leadership role within the civil construction industry. Proven experience in drainage, earthworks, and civil siteworks. The ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage crews and collaborate with site teams. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations in construction. Full Class 1 Driver’s License (Class 2 or WTR endorsements a bonus). Must be able to pass MOJ Must be able to pass drug test

Days of work
Monday to Friday (Mandatory) Saturday (not mandatory) start and finish times based on the project. (30 hours per week)
