CHRISTCHURCH: A local Indian Restaurant is searching for an experienced Tandoori and Curry Chef to join their busy team- Prepare authentic Indian dishes including curries, biryanis, tandoori items, and regional specialties. Ensure proper spice balance and presentation. Handle daily food prep, chopping, marination, and anything else required. Operate kitchen equipment like tandoor ovens and gas stoves safely. Maintain hygiene and food safety standards. Monitor inventory, store ingredients properly, and inform management of low stock. Coordinate with kitchen team for smooth service and timely delivery. Train and guide junior staff when required. Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and quality. Adhere to health and safety regulations and report any kitchen issues promptly. Manage time effectively during peak hours.
Job Requirements
Must have 2 years minimum- working in a busy Indian or Similar Kitchen environment
Must be able to supervise & train junior staff when required-

- Wednesday to Monday- 35 hours weekly (35 hours per week)
