A specialist provider of healthcare support for those with complex needs to live safely and independently in their place of choice is seeking Kaimahi Hauora/Support Worker (Homecare).

Location: Auckland wide.

The Role: Assisting Kiritaki (client) with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing and eating. Medication and intervention support such as bowel and catheter care, medication administration and other therapies. Mobility and manual handling support and rehabilitation exercise programmes. Domestic tasks including meal preparation, maintaining hygienic environments, internal and external household duties. Engaging with Kiritaki and their whanau/significant others in culturally safe and appropriate ways as identified by the Kiritaki. Assisting Kiritaki to access the community, including environmental, transport and social support e.g., activities including work, recreational, personal, shopping or social activities. Maintaining Kiritaki and home records, writing notes and routine reports. Escalating any changes, concerns, needs in a timely manner to the consultant and Tapuhi Whai Rehita to address. Maintaining a safe and homely living environment for the Kiritaki.

Job Requirements

Experience in Personal Care, Medication and Clinical Support. Mobility & Manual Handling Knowledge. Capability to assist with meal preparation, cleaning, and general household duties. Preferably should have full driver license Able to work rostered shifts (Mon - Sun)
