Carer

Are you looking to join a supportive team providing quality care for our clients in their own homes? You may be looking to supplement your income? You might be semi-retired/retired from Healthcare and wish to continue to contributing to support someone in a non-rush environment, and when it suits you? We are looking for Carers who are readily available to accept work on an "as needed" basis, and are prepared to do any work from a few hours, to a longer day or overnight care/sleepovers. Applicants must be compassionate people who will work well independently, and be invested in providing exceptional care to clients. The team has a boutique feel, with high input from available Registered Nurses who are readily available to support both valued clients and Carers. Ongoing training and support to team is available. If you are interested in making a significant difference to people's lives in allowing them to stay in their own homes, and will be dedicated to carrying out some of the following tasks we'd love to hear from you! • Home management - may include light housework, meal preparation and laundry • Personal care - showering or wash, dressing and grooming • Companionship - spending quality time at home, outings, support at medical appointments, walks or activities • Dementia care, palliative care, respite care, post surgery or hospitalisation support The role is casual and would be well suited to someone who is retired/semi retired, or looking to step back into the workplace AND is flexible with their time. Must be able to pass an MOJ check. Recent caregiving or health related experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills and presentation. A full NZ Driver licence and a clean, reliable roadworthy car. This is a casual role, you MUST be flexible with either day/evening or overnights. Must be passionate about caring for others.
