Seafood Process Worker

Whenuapai based employer is on the hunt for reliable Seafood Process Workers to join the team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Process seafood products - Inspect and grade fish, abalone, clams, and shellfish for size and quality. - Ensure proper handling and storage, placing seafood trays into tanks, chillers, and freezers. - Shuck oysters and mussels, and pack live seafood into poly bins with ice. - Ensure correct sizes are packed for local and export customers and are properly labeled. - Perform daily stock takes, following MPI regulations for seafood processing and food safety. - Clean and sanitize machines, graders, work areas, and equipment. - Daily grade weak and poor-quality products out of tanks. - Occasionally deliver seafood products to customers.

Job Requirements
- Flexible to work variable shifts when required (weekends, early starts, late nights) - Hold a full class 1 driver licence - Pass pre-employment checks (drug testing, Ministry of Justice check)
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday with some weekend work; Work hours are in variable shifts starting from 5am to late finishes (no set times) (30 hours per week)
