HydroVac Operator Driver

HAREWOOD: This employer is currently looking to hire a Class 4 or 5 Operator/Drivers to join their hard-working team of vacuum and jetting truck operators based in Christchurch. Full training provided. As an Operator - Driver your role will be mainly operating HydroVac plant and trucks. Duties will involve manoeuvring vehicles into positions; pre-starts and documentation; ensuring plant equipment/truck is under control, maintained and operated in a professional and safe manner, which may include water blasting and Hydro-flushing of pipes and pits, vacuum loading and suction of waste products contaminated & non-contaminated, safe disposal of waste products, clearance of pipe blockages & CCTV, hydro-excavation and air-excavation, storm water maintenance, sewer/septic maintenance and grease trap/converter maintenance. This role is primarily a labouring role with some driving involved.

Suitable candidates must have at least 1 year’s truck driving experience and hold a class 5 or class 4 licence and are looking to get your class 5 or a class 5 learners driver’s Licence. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and a police security check. Candidates must be physically fit and able to undertake heavy lifting.
