Belt Technician / Tradesman

• Install, splice, repair, and maintain various types of conveyor belts (e.g., rubber, PVC, modular). • Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections to identify potential issues. • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems related to conveyor systems. • Replace worn or damaged components, including belts, rollers, pulleys, and cleaners. • Utilize hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment for belt splicing and repair. • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies and procedures. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. • Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs efficiently. • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

• Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. • Professionalism - is punctual, reliable, and safety focused. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Valid restricted or full driver's license. • Pass pre-employment and ongoing drug tests. • Physically fit and can lift heavy materials. • Proven experience as a Conveyor Belt Technician or related field is advantageous. • Proficiency in belt splicing techniques is advantageous (e.g., hot vulcanization, cold splicing). • Knowledge of conveyor system components and operation is advantageous.
