Located at an upmarket retirement village in Trentham, Upper Hutt the employer is seeking a Gardener to join the team.
Duties will include: Maintaining gardens and outdoor areas by planting and growing plants from seeds, pruning, fertilising, and weeding. Pruning hedges, shrubs, and trees, and lopping branches where necessary. Mowing lawns and trimming or weeding garden beds.
You will have excellent plant knowledge and the ability to relate to elderly people.
You will also be a strong team player and have a full driver’s licence as there are occasions you will be required to drive a Ute to purchase plants and stock etc.
Training will only be provided on company procedures.

Job Requirements
Must have proven employment experience in gardening (Please note this is not a landscaping positions)
To have Full Class 1 Drivers licence.
Be physically fit, punctual, reliable, responsible, and self-motivated.
Have good communication skills and ability to work as a team.
Have a strong focus on safety and quality.
Must have a reliable, friendly, and professional manner.
Must be able to pass MOJ check (No convictions)
