Workshop Labourer

New Lynn based employer is looking for 2x Workshop Labourer's to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a varied role where you will be helping where required. Your duties could include the following: 1. Prepare vehicles for painting by masking and priming surfaces. and Apply body filler as necessary to ensure smooth and even surfaces. 2.Ensure vehicles are clean, masked, and primed, ready for the painting process. 3. Safely move cars around the garage as needed to facilitate workflow and repairs. 4. Wash and groom cars to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards. 5. Assist Other Workers: Provide support to mechanics and other shop staff in various tasks and projects. 6. Loading on Chassis Machine: Assist in loading and securing cars onto the chassis machine for alignment and repair work. 7. Perform underbody sand blasting to remove rust and prepare surfaces for further treatment. 8. Remove and refit car parts for inspection and repair purposes, ensuring all components are properly reassembled.

• You will need to have at least 6 months - 2 years experience previous experience in a mechanic shop or automotive repair setting is preferred • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team • Have either a Restricted or Full Licence - NX/Overseas • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks. • Able to pass MOJ/Police Check and a Drug Test • Any relevant qualifications are a bonus. • Be able to work as part of a team. • Be able to pass pre-employment drug tests.
