Machine Operator
About this job
manufacturer of sheep’s wool insulation and sheep’s wool textile products. seeking a Machine Operator to join manufacturing team processing wool into products for the construction sector.
Main tasks
Operate and monitor machines, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols are followed.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to minimise downtime.
Inspect products for quality and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as needed.
Bagging and packaging for freight dispatch.
Job Requirements
t least one year’s previous experience as a machine operator
Good mechanical aptitude to assist in machine setting and daily maintenance
Physically able to lift and handle large items
Forklift OSH endorsement and F licence endorsement or willingness to obtain licence
Able to work in a factory environment including standing for long periods, exposure to noise and dust (PPE provided)
Good communication skills including good spoken English
Initiative to think outside the box and problem solve
Self-motivated and reliable
Able to follow instructions
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Class 2 Truck licence desirable
Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
Willingness to complete a pre-employment criminal record check and drug and alcohol test

- Monday-Friday, working 1.30pm – 10pm (40 hours per week)
