A large fishing company are now recruiting for a General Hand for their land-based factory based in Nelson. The position is in the Coated Products Department and is afternoon shift only.

In this position you will need to be able to anticipate, thinking and planning and taking appropriate action so that processing downtime is minimized. The role is part of the wider production team and flexibility to work wherever needed to achieve the production plan and meet cleaning, quality compliance and safety standards of the whole shift is expected. The role requires some physically demanding work, moving machinery in and out of processing position as products change, lifting of materials and manoeuvrability around moving machinery.

A satisfactory pre-employment drug test and a physical medical assessment will be required to be considered for this role. Applicants must have legal entitlement to live and work in New Zealand.
