Class 5 Truck Driver

A Otahuhu Based Employer is seeking an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver.

Duties Include; • Transport heavy loads and determine whether the vehicle complies with weight and height limits on bridges and tunnels. • Comply with rules and regulations for transporting materials. • Plan routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure all necessary maintenance is done. • Work closely with dispatchers to plan the number of miles to cover in a day and ensure timely deliveries. • Maintain accurate records of materials and products transported, including weight limits, hazardous materials, and miles driven. • Maintain contact with the base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new locations and coordinate driving routes. • Obtain customer signatures or collect payment for goods delivered and associated delivery charges.

• Valid NZ license OR overseas heavy truck license. • Relevant experience will be highly preferred. • Must be able to start as early morning. • Ability to travel outside Auckland to nearby regions as part of job duties. • Must be available to work weekends. • Must pass drug and alcohol tests. • Clean driving record. • Must be capable of unloading heavy goods from the truck. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. • Self-motivated, hardworking, and passionate.
