We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Machine Operator to join our production team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, ensuring products meet customer requirements and quality standards while maximising efficiency and cost-effectiveness. afternoon and night shifts available!

Key responsibilities include: • Ensuring the production line is operated in a safe manner that prevents injury to yourself and others • Operating the equipment in a manner that prevents damage to equipment • Checking the product specifications for the product to be made, and ensuring the finished product is within the specification target range for both weight and volume • Testing and monitoring the equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly and reporting on anomalies • Minimising waste and water usage while still ensuring the hygiene of the equipment and work place • Ensuring the production line is maintained in a condition that meets the factory’s GMP and GMH requirements. • Collaborate with other team members, including production supervisors, quality assurance technicians, and maintenance staff, to optimise production processes and resolve issues. • Cleaning and sanitising all equipment, pipework and pumps after use • Setting up and regular testing of the Xray metal detection equipment • Enter the usage of materials for every pallet of ingredients used into the company computer software

Job Requirements

Key Requirements: These are busy roles, so you’ll need to be willing to learn, be reliable, quality-focused and have a positive attitude to succeed. Other key skills and experience include: • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. (MUST) • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. • Strong work ethic with literacy and numeracy skills. • A good understanding of food safety, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment. • Own reliable transport. • Ability to pass pre-employment tests, including MOJ and drug testing.
