As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting elderly, disabled, and vulnerable adults with their daily activities, ensuring they can live comfortably and independently within their homes. Your compassionate support will help clients maintain their dignity, promote their wellbeing, and assist them in achieving a good quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist clients with daily personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming.

Medication Support: Assist clients with medication management and ensure they follow prescribed regimens.

Home Management: Provide assistance with light housekeeping and organization to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.

Shopping and Meal Preparation: Help clients with shopping for groceries and prepare meals according to their dietary requirements.

Companionship: Provide emotional and social support, offering companionship and engaging in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional wellbeing.

Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility, including transferring in and out of bed, using mobility aids, and moving around the home safely.

Report Writing: Document care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition or needs to the appropriate team members.

Support Independence: Assist clients in maintaining their independence as much as possible by promoting choice and control in their care.

Job Requirements

Experience: Relevant experience in supporting elderly, disabled, or vulnerable adults, either through personal life or work experience.

Previous experience in personal care or healthcare is an advantage, but training will be provided for the right candidate with no prior experience.

Desirable:

Previous experience in personal care, aged care, or working with individuals with disabilities.

First Aid certification (if not already held, training can be provided).

Hourly Rate: $23.38 – $29.10 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications).

Days of work
Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including Monday to Sunday from 7 AM to 8/9 PM. (20 hours per week)
