Receptionists are a pivotal member of staff in any organisation. They are the first point of contact for any visitors to the office or anyone contacting an organisation. A Receptionist also maintains security by logging all visitors and possibly issuing visitor passes, plus provide support to the overall team as required. A Hokitika business needs someone who can Key Responsibilities • Receive Visitors • Answer Phone Calls • Manage Mail/Emails • Monitor Security • Clerical (photocopy and collate documents, file documents accurately, maintain equipment and report any malfunctions etc.) • Organise Meetings • Reception Area Maintenance • Office/Facilities Area Maintenance Desirable requests from the employer are: • Previous experience/knowledge of the role • Fluency in Te Reo Maori • Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi • Knowledge of Tikanga • Knowledge of local Maori and mainstream communities
Job Requirements
• To be based in Hokitika/Westland • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe • Flexibility (including hours of work) • Great problem-solving abilities • Integrity • Self-motivation • Great communication skills (oral & written) • Great organisational abilities (stress management, creation of plans, delegation, attention to details etc.)
