As an Orderly in Security you will support patient care by safely moving patients and items around the hospital at the right time, to the right place, in a courteous, professional and well-presented manner, contributing to the effective day-to-day operation of Orderly Services at Nelson Hospital.

You will be an excellent communicator who is passionate about delivering a quality service. You will be efficient and able to manage your time effectively. A clean driver’s licence is essential. Due to the nature of the work you must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. It is essential that you are physically fit and active with knowledge of heaving lifting techniques. Hotel / Porter / Orderly or Security worker experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

The working hours will be on an as required basis assisting with peak capacity and covering staff leave. There are no fixed days.

Job Requirements

Pass MOJ check and drug test. Able to work across shift work and travel reliably and safely after 1130pm

Vaccinations: Measles, Mumps, Chickenpox and Rubella up to date. No requirement for covid vaccination.

Days of work
will include morning, afternoon, evening and night shifts. (5 hours per week)
