We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Community Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support to individuals with disabilities, helping them thrive in their daily activities while achieving their personal goals. In this role, you will actively engage with individuals, encouraging their participation in a variety of social and physical activities within the wider community. Your efforts will enhance their quality of life, foster inclusion, and create meaningful connections with others.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to achieve personal goals and improve daily functioning. • Promote active participation in community-based activities, enhancing the social and physical well-being of individuals. • Build strong, supportive relationships with clients and team members, fostering a sense of trust and inclusion. • Assist clients in developing essential skills for greater community engagement, boosting their confidence and independence. • Adapt to the evolving needs and challenges of clients with a positive, solution-focused mindset. • Inspire and motivate individuals to reach their full potential, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged throughout their journey.

Job Requirements
Candidates should have the following: • Previous experience in a support role or similar capacity is preferred, but not essential. • Energetic and active, with the ability to engage in physical activities with individuals. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • An empathetic and caring nature, with a genuine interest in the well-being of others. • Ability to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test. • A full New Zealand driver’s licence. • An up-to-date CV.
