Barista Assistant

Complete daily cart and cafe operations in the roles of Barista and Front of House Assistant, under the lead of the Operating Cafe Manager, to provide a high quality, customer centric coffee and food and beverage service to customers. The position includes inventory control, food preparation and presentation and exceptional customer service, while adhering to health and safety regulations. Looking for proven experience as a Barista with a deep understanding of coffee preparation, espresso techniques, and the art of crafting high quality beverages. Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace while adhering to food safety and quality standards. The ability to collaborate well with team members, maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. Prepare and serve a range of specialty coffees with speed, precision, and care, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.

It's essential they are fully barista trained and hold NZQA Food Safety 167 and 168 qualifications. New Zealand Certificate in Hospitality Level 2 to 6 is desirable. A full and clean drivers license is essential. Previous Cafe and hospitality experience of 2 years is essential. Able and willing to work evening and weekends if required. Pre employment checks include the requirement to pass a Criminal and Traffic Convictions check by the Ministry of Justice, a Credit History and No Asset Procedure Credit History check by Equifax and a qualification validation check.
