Orchard Worker

Harbour Edge Avocados is based in Tapora on the Kaipara Harbour. This is a large-scale orchard with over 120ha of Avocados and a new development of citrus. The employer would tailor the role and provide training to fit your level of experience.

Note: These roles are based in TAPORA please ensure you familiarise yourself with this remote location.

About the role A hands-on outdoor role involved in all aspects of developing and maintaining a large-scale avocado orchard, including: • Seasonal tasks of harvesting, pruning and irrigation maintenance. • Mowing, spraying and general orchard maintenance. • Planting and tree training on new blocks.

A positive attitude, good physical fitness, flexibility with work hours and your own transport are essential. If you enjoy the outdoors and don’t mind working in all weather, want to be hands on doing physical work, are self-motivated and have a drive for efficiency you could be a successful Orchard Assistant at HEA.

Skills and Experience Orchard experience and/or horticultural qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
