Produce Manager

Conning’s Food Market - Appleby is a large scale growing operation that enables the Food Market to deliver unbeatable freshness and value. We are seeking a positive and energetic manager to lead our produce team. This is both a physical and hands-on role in this rapidly growing business with scope for growth and development.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Directing and organising the team filling, displaying and maintaining stock levels. Guiding the team’s workflow ensuring work is carried out efficiently in a positive and collaborative environment. Ensuring work areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe manner adhering to health and safety regulations. Providing initial and ongoing training for team members. Lead from the front & inspire the team. Managing rosters, sickness and leave ensuring adequate cover. You will be the teams point of contact. Committed to overseeing the team’s delivery of excellent customer service. As a leader and integral part of our team you will have the following attributes:

Strong verbal communication skills. A skilled multitasker with the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously while supervising a team. Excellent time management skills to prioritise workflow. Adaptable and capable of juggling changing schedules and handling unpredictable circumstances. You must be adaptable, have the ability to think on your feet and make effective decisions. A positive, solution-focused attitude and are encouraging of co-workers. Be physically fit and able to lift crates of produce up to 20kg.
